After a dermal filler treatment, you'll see immediate results that continue improving over the next 2-4 weeks.

Results last will vary from person to person, but this is usually between 9 - 18 months.

2 WEEKS BEFORE:

- Avoid dental treatments / cleanings 2 weeks before.

1 WEEK BEFORE:

- Recommended to avoid blood thinning medications, such as Aspririn & Ibuprofen as these can increase chances of bruising.

- Avoid sun-beds (and 1 week after).

- If you are getting Lip Filler done, and you suffer from cold sores please ensure your cold sore is not active and start taking anti-viral tablets 2 days before appointment.

48 HORUS BEFORE:

- If you are prone to bruising, you can take Arnica tablets/ creams.

- Do not wax, thread, shave, or pluck on the areas you plan on treating.

- Avoid anti-aging skin care products that contain Retitnol, Glycolic Acid, Retinoid, or other exfoliating ingredients.

24 HOURS BEFORE:

- We recommend avoiding alcohol consumption to prevent bruising.

ON THE DAY:

- It is best to arrive with washed, clean face (no make up), we will clean the area again so don't worry if you're not completely make-up free.

- Please make sure you have had something to eat and drink :)

- If you are unwell it is best to reschedule your appointment

After the treatment:

• Get some Arnica tablets to help with bruising and swelling

• Don't wear makeup for 24 hours

• You can gently wash your face and use your regular products, but skip any retinols or acids for the first night

• Try to stay upright as much as possible and sleep with 3 pillows to reduce swelling

• If you have excessive swelling, you can take antihistamines or contact medical professional for a steroid prescription

• Be very gentle when washing your face for 4 weeks

• Avoid alcohol consumption to help reduce bruising

What to avoid for 1-2 weeks:

• Don't massage the treated areas unless instructed to by practitioner

• No strenuous exercise or gardening

• No facials, waxing, or heat treatments like saunas

• Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol as they can increase bruising

• Don't have any other procedures like laser or IPL near the treated areas
